Tip 2: The Reality of Reviews
Reading and reviewing other people's stories is the best way is to get other people to review yours! Additionally, reading other people's work will help you in your own writing.
This is a fanfiction site where people can post their work and/or read and review other people's pieces. If you post your stories, you are setting it out to be criticized, but can expect it to be done constructively. If people do it correctly, they'll suggest things that will make your story better--this is not called flaming.
Flaming, by definition, means that someone calls you names, swears, comments in a none constructive way, and other such things. If you do not want to hear honest opinions about your work or don't want to improve, a Fanfiction site type set up is not for you.
It can be discouraging to receive a not-so-positive review, however, one hopes the person who reviewed your story's goal is to make you a better writer, not hurt your feelings.
